About Me

My photo
I am a self-proclaimed princess, after all my name is Sarah! However, I am a true born country girl, complete with the hat, boots, and the attitude! I am from Ontario, from a fairly small town but I can have my big city moments. I am a red-head with the confidence to own it. But most of all I am me and I refuse to be anything or anyone else!! Once I graduate I hope to get a job as a forensic analyst. For the time being I am a sales associate at GAP and these are my ramblings!

Movies

I have seen 11/50 new to me movies since I have already counted The Ultimate Gift so only one more movie.

September 8, 2008

The Ultimate Gift … it was amazing; not many movies could ever move you the way this one did! It stars some pretty amazing actors and one up and coming actress that I absolutely adore – she is cute and funny and will take the world by storm – Abigail Breslin. It was based on a novel, I think that it would be a good read … maybe I will try and find a copy.
So if you are ever looking for a good movie with a little fun, but very serious and thought – provoking then I suggest this film. As for me it is going on my list of must buys!! Speaking of which, I crossed one off my list today as well.

Hope Floats
Sandra Bullock and Harry Connick Jr.
watching it as I type lol ... its pretty good so far the daughter is hilarious and a good actress and as per always Sandra Bullock is a wonderful actress loving this movie

The Books I Have Read!

So I have finally got some time to list the books I have read to date! So I am going to do it in order that I have read them; except for the series I will group them together so that it makes sense. If it doesn't oh well cause it does to me!

I'll Take Manhattan ....................................... by Judith Krantz

Size 12 Is Not Fat ............................................ by Meg Cabot
Size 14 Is Not Fat Either ................................. by Meg Cabot

Name Dropping .............................................. by Jane Heller

Angels Fall ............................................... by Nora Roberts

The Dirty Girls Social Club .............. by Alisa Valdes-Rodriguez

Queen of Babble ..................................... by Meg Cabot

Body Movers ...................................... by Stephanie Bond
Body Movers: 2 Bodies for the Price of 1 ......... by Stephanie Bond

Curtain ............................................. by Agatha Christie

Lucky Stars ............................................ by Jane Heller

Dear Prince Charming ........................... by Donna Kauffman

i like it like that ...................................... by Claire Calman

Make Him Look Good ................ by Alisa Valdes-Rodriguez

Girls Night Out ................................... by various authors
......... A book composed of 21 stories each by a different author(s)

So far that is 15 books out of 100!!

I have enjoyed all of these books some more than others but I have been happy with all the books that I have borrowed from the library; which most of the above titles are with few exceptions! The goal is still in progress but I'm off to the library most likely later today!

Lovin bein a book worm,

Movies

More of the movies I've seen. ... there are a bit about plots for all the movies and such some spoilers! Sorry to SPOIL but its my blog and I like to discuss the movies ... comment if you've seen the movies and what you think about them?!

***SPOILER ALERT***

The Eye > a week or so ago
>Stephanie
>Stars: Jessica Alba
> Ok so, this movie was alright however not overly scary and completely predictable, a slight twist in the end. Such that part of her visions is the future which she must stop. The ending I thought was kinda dumb! Its about a blind woman who gets a cornea transplant and starts to "see things" ghosts and places she's never been, of the person who's eyes she received.

Wanted > August 2
> Angelina Jolie, Morgan Freeman, James McAvoy
>so a frat of assassins ... the plot for a good movie right? not so much! I dont mean to say it was terrible just sort of laughable in a Star Wars sense in that he is sent to kill his father!

The Dark Knight > August 5
> Joanna
>Stars: Heath Ledger, Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine
> It was a long movie almost 3 hours! However, despite its length Batman fans (such as myself) were not dissapointed. But seriously, who doesn't LOVE Batman?? Batman has always been my favourite "superhero" ever since I was like 3! Since, Batman is just your average guy with no "super" powers other than his trust fund!! ;)
Ledger was outstanding as the Joker, one of his best performances ever. However, I totally hated how the chick rachael or whatever died very upsetting!

Get Smart > July 7th ish or before
>Allie
>Stars: Steve Carell and Anne Hathaway also Dwayne Johnson
> Its hilarious! A great movie for everyone and Dwayne Johnson looks as hot as always! But, back to the movie, "We dont go around jabbing staples into peoples heads thats CIA crap!" hahaha many quotes, so little time. Good movie! Check it out!

Hancock > July 18th ... I think I can't find the ticket lol
> Allie
> Stars: Will Smith, Jason Bateman, and Charlize Theron
> Will Smith plays an alcoholic superhero and there are a lot of 'deep' issues but its funny to and has a good ending! And if you don't like oh well at least there is eye candy!

All About

Hi all.
I have decided to restart my 101 in 1001 list and post it as a separate blog from my personal daily bloggings and such.
Anyways, I was sent this challenge from my awesome future roomie Erin, you make a list of 101 goals to be completed within 1001 days, or 2.75 years.

So I am taking part in the 101 things in 1001 days. I will be using this blog as a place to keep my list and update it as I complete goals and which ones I am working towards! I will be re-posting my new list later today! :)
My reasons for participating; I like to keep organized, it looks like fun, I love making lists and crossing things off lists!

Here is some information about the project from the author and the website where you can find this information and more and where you can upload it to the master list that is being kept. The Mission:
Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.
The Criteria:
Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on my part).
Why 1001 Days?
Many people have created lists in the past - frequently simple goals such as New Year's resolutions. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic.
1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organizing and timing some tasks such as overseas trips or outdoor activities.
Once you have created your site, you can add it to the master list here at Day Zero. The website is http://triplux.stilljournal.com/dayzero/default.asp?view=gettingstarted
Stay cool,
you know you love me,
xoxo
